It is quite powerful so this is even stranger to me. I am running this whole thing on a desktop with an i7 CPU, 16GB RAM and Windows 7. It just won’t let me change sample rate or lower thhe buffer size.Īlso, as far as the sound cut-outs are concerned I have tried making the buffer size larger, but it does not solve the problem.
When I go into MIDI device settings it resets the entire system to 44100 Hz 64 buffer. If I try to change the system ASIO settings before opening the application and THEN open the application, everything plays at a different pitch.
Speed: ASIO drivers (in general) allow lower CPU overhead and lower buffer settings than the standard Windows Primary Sound Driver, WDM Driver). I have noticed that, weirdly enough, when I go into the MIDI device settings and open the ASIO control panel and change the settings, it will reset itself back to 44100 Hz and no lower than a buffer size of 64. SYSTEM SETTINGS System Settings - Audio (ASIO4ALL) The FL Studio installation includes FL Studio ASIO and 3rd party ASIO driver ASIO4ALL.There are two advantages of ASIO. Any ideas what could be the problem They work on normal windows.
This problem is preventing me from playing my e-drums with the EZdrummer sounds.Īnnoyed with the issue, I have been trying to figure out what is causing it, especially because it seems like sometimes it doesn’t occur, but then if I restart the computer it starts happening again. Ableton failed to open both devices, although i installed the recent asio drivers for them. This can be like a fraction of a second, or more rarely a couple seconds. However, I am experiencing a problem where sometimes the audio on my computer has a “hiccup”, almost as if all soundstopped playing and resumed a little bit later. So I am currently using a set of e-drums, connected to a Focusrite 2i4 w/ a MIDI cable that I use to trigger the EZdrummer 2 standalone application.
